Policies & Procedures

TUITION: Enrollment is by 3 month sessions, discounted tuition is available to all who register by the “Early Bird Registration” deadline. An annual registration fee of $35 is due per family upon registration. Cash and Checks payments are welcome, you will receive a receipt for cash payments. We have been lenient in the past by allowing children with unpaid tuition to continue attending class and allowed for large grace period. This year we will keep to our rules and will not allow children to participate in class unless financial arrangements have been made in advance. A billing fee of $25.00 will apply to each attempt to collect payments. Returned check charge is $25.00.

CANCELLATION: If a student chooses to drop a class we must be notified at least 2 weeks in advance in writing to allow another student to fill the space. Unused tuition can be used as credit towards a different class. Tuition is non-refundable.

MAKE-UP AND ILLNESS POLICIES: In the event a student cannot attend a class, and notifies the studio prior to class time, a credit will be given in the form of a make-up lesson. ALL make-ups must be scheduled within two weeks of the missed class. Make-up credits or missed classes may NOT be used to discount tuition.

PUNCTUALITY POLICY: We ask that drop off and pickup to class be done promptly. The warm-up period at the beginning of each class is necessary as it provides preparation for class and helps to prevent injuries. We also ask that you pick up your child promptly, late pickup after 15 minutes will cost a $10.00 childcare fee.

CLASS OR TEACHER CHANGES: We recognize the importance of maintaining a regular schedule for you and your child as well as the importance of the relationship that children develop with their instructor. However, we want you to be aware that there may be times when we must make changes in your child’s class or instructor such as substitute instructors etc…

“A Time for Dance” WORK EXCHANGE program: We want everyone to be able to dance with us! If you’re of limited income and are interested in taking classes, consider our work exchange program. We offer opportunities ranging from one-time staffing of special events to ongoing positions helping our office staff.

PARENT OBSERVERS: We are happy to allow parents to visit and observe their children’s classes but ask that you are respectful. Talking during class or loud siblings can be distracting to the students in class. In addition, We ask that no food or drink be brought into the studio.
